Thoughtful Obama vs. Snarling Cheney
Against a veritable mountain of evidence showing a liberal media bias, I recently came across one piece of evidence suggesting that, somehow, the photographs that appear with news stories indicate a conservative bias. I can't find the link, but I just wanted to say that the photograph that is currently on the front page of CNN probably won't help to substantiate that claim:

EVERYONE has bias. In many ways. The trick is to recognize them. Even when successful, you can't will them away.
Much of the mass media has difficulty with this. I believe that is at least partly because many actually believe that they are impartial and have been trained to exclude bias in their reporting.
The bias is so rampant and over the top that it seems clear they simply are ok with it. Objectivity is impossible in religious matters, and most media people have been through a lifetime of training and reinforcement in the religion of liberalism. They have attitudes toward Republicans similar to how Christians once regarded heretics, Gypsies, Jews and Muslims. As people to be marginalized and even eliminated when possible. I hear liberal people describe Republicans with similar disdain, based on similar caricatures of them with no interest in learning the truth about them or their ideas.
I have said for a long time that reporters and/or news agencies should have to disclose their political affiliation as a disclaimer on each story... then at least we would know where they are coming from.

Why bother? All of them will be liberals.
It's not news any more but you should do a post on Iraq casualties for May. Civilian, ISF, and US soldier hostile fire casualties were all down vs. May 2008.
