Sucks to be Poor and in Michigan

Michigan residents experienced a 6.2 percent decrease in median income in the course of one year, from 2008 to 2009, while Illinois has suffered a 24 percent increase in poverty in the past decade. More than 36 percent of Detroit’s population officially lives in poverty.

Well that does suck, but how have we wound up witha system that celebrates the wealth of a few? Yes, chase the American dream, but that dream has stymied the working classs to the point they've been reduced to inactive rubble. 20% of Ameircans now account 50% of the wealth.

Something is amiss.

or maybe we should all try harder to be rich and exploitive.
