The oil conundrum and climate change: the Exxon ruse

I don't think it would come as a surprise to anybody that the oil industry would work hard to mitigate any prospective or information that can harm their industry. In fact, corporations largely operate with their own interests in mind, or rather in the interests of the shareholders. As a scientific data becomes overwhelming to the point that deniers now looks stupid, we're just coming out that many oil companies including the giant Exxon, New decades ago that climate change was a real event. Some have even dubbed the ruse by Exxon as the overwhelming worst thing a corporation has ever done in the history of the world. That's a tall order to achieve get the lights of the tobacco industry. but it seems that over the past four decades Exxon has gone out of its way to ensure their activities and bottom line were protected. Is a weather not the recent allegations will have any effect on the company but one thing we know for sure is that given the recent drop in demand of oil the future demand seems to be slowing. Every decade there is another call for the end of oil and even the end of peak oil, but in reality all use won't be going away anytime soon but its dominance is slowly eroding. That means Exxon and others will slowly be pushed out of the picture simply because of a demand problem cannot because they intentionally altered the world climate. Can you imagine if this type of allegation ever ended up in a court? Only would've be tied up in litigation for decades upon decades, the penalty that would eventually come down (if it ever did) would likely not mounted very much in comparison to the alleged impact.

July 2015 Warmest Month on Record. Take that climate deniers.

Right wing Christian fundamentalists, who prefer their individualized brand of 'Christianity' over the facts (ironically), will deny the evidence, but here it is: the Earth is getting warmer. The consensus is overwhelming despite what the crazy old man down the street might say (and the only people who deny are crazy old men now....). The NOAA released their data and July 2015 is the warmest EVER on record for the globe. Naysayers will suggest that the Earth has been warmer since we only have records going back 100 years, surely at some point in the past it's been warmer, now excuse me as I fill up my SUV.
Global highlights: Year-to-date (January–July 2015) The year-to-date temperature combined across global land and ocean surfaces was 1.53°F (0.85°C) above the 20th century average. This was the highest for January–July in the 1880–2015 record, surpassing the previous record set in 2010 by 0.16°F (0.09°C). The year-to-date globally-averaged land surface temperature was 2.41°F (1.34°C) above the 20th century average. This was the highest for January–July in the 1880–2015 record, surpassing the previous record of 2007 by 0.27°F (0.15°C). The year-to-date globally-averaged sea surface temperature was 1.21°F (0.67°C) above the 20th century average. This was also the highest for January–July in the 1880–2015 record, surpassing the previous record of 2010 by 0.11°F (0.06°C). Every major ocean basin observed record warmth in some areas. Pluto Mission Success, New Pics Stunning

The New Horizon mission to Pluto is a success. for under the cost of a new football stadium, you too could send a ship to Pluto. After nearly 10 years in space traveling to the solar system, the New Horizon Mission is a success. Pictures started beaming back, starting with far away shots of the dwarf planet, and then higher resolutions that gave us our first glimpse of the rugged ice planet. NASA was looking for a PR boost this is it. In his capture the attention of the world and Will help them gear up for their eventual manned mission to Mars. Take a look at some of the pictures at the link below. For more: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/newhorizons/main/index.html

2014 Warmest Year Ever, Climate Change

Climate change deniers will continue to ignore the evidence despite being people who claim to "follow the evidence". I new study has emerged, another her in the plethora of research that continues to support the conclusion that the earth is warming as result of man-made influences, that states 2014 has been the warmest year ever recorded. http://www2.ametsoc.org/ams/index.cfm/publications/bulletin-of-the-american-meteorological-society-bams/state-of-the-climate/state-of-climate-in-2014/ The American meteorological Society, has released the numbers of the state of climate change and the results aren't good. As world worms the problems multiply. The compounding effects of warmer oceans or holes in the O zone layer will be felt for decades to come. In terms of public opinion the worst problem of a deniers to to be incapable of reading sound science. The best we can hope for is that education will prevail and eventually it will sway policymakers to enact some lasting changes.

Worst Drought to Come? Climate Change to Blame?

Apart from the naysayers, who are few and far between, who deny climate change, most rational people understand that our impact on the earth is affecting the climate. The very real ways we are noticing that not only is the earth getting warmer but is also having a huge impact our environment. It's a devastating impact. Hurricanes are longer, typhoons are stronger, and snowstorms are bigger. Culturally America has to deal with these your consumerism. We have been developed to one and take whatever it is we need and have come to expect I will get it. Now ignoring a lot of rule parts America, We have taken things like freshwater, and clean water, for granted. Some places there shouldn't even be water are getting this stuff just live but also to, shockingly, water their lawns. There's a level of cultural change that needs to happen as we attempt to figure out ways to reduce our water draw. The fact remains as we are finding it harder and harder to keep our aquifers in intact. A recent study has adjusted that America is due to experienced the worst drought in 1000 years. I'm not sure who is recording thousand years ago but the fact remains there's a water problem. How we deal with it and how we'll be forced to change because of it remains to be seen. Welding is for sure it's here and now, for many it's not news at all call about for the rest of us there's a shift coming that we need to pay attention to. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/u-s-droughts-will-be-the-worst-in-1-000-years1/

SpaceX Did What? Landed a Rocket on a Pinhead

In case you been living underneath the rock there are a number of private companies that are challenging the field of rockets. Okay, I'm making a very complex science simple but it's true, there is a race to see if we can get into space cheaply. Not only is the pursuit to put private 'tourists' in space for a relatively low cost, they're our own words and prizes available for companies who can meet certain criteria. Then there's Elon Musk entrepreneur extraordinaire. You might remember him from such companies as PayPal. He's do some amazing things with his company spaceX. The most recent accomplishment? Nearly landing a rocket that went out into space on a barge no larger than a quarter of the football field. Basically a rocking went to space and they try to landed on a tiny strip of the boat in the middle of the ocean. Don't leave me? These guys are not only legit but the also celebrating their mistakes, Assuming you can call this a mistake. Can't wait to see what comes next, this is human achievement and pioneering at its finest.

Job Growth in US Economy Under Obama

Spent eight years destroy the economy and making the rich richer, as somewhere suggest, then Obama had the dubious distinction of picking up and putting back the pieces. This article looks at employment, and unemployment, and had some interesting facts. It would seem that job growth hasn't been this robust since the Clinton era. This is of course evidence but only the evidence that some people may want to pay attention to. It's ironic that under Democrat Presidents the economy has been better off job wise. Where is under Republican control the rich get richer and everybody else seems to suffer. The middle class is eroded. That's not to say that it's been reclaimed under Obama by any means, yet to see the job growth that we have it's in the very least a positive sign. Couple that with housing market and a slow uptake in housing starts and you have the impression that there is sustained growth. http://www.politicususa.com/2014/12/05/thanks-obama-2014-year-job-growth-bill-clinton-president.html
